After moving here from Illinois a few years ago, I was challenged with finding the right school for my daughter. After about 3 misses, I let my child visit Cedar Creek for a day. After her day was over, she insisted this was the school for her. She started Cedar Creek in third grade; however, now
... Read more that she is approaching sixth, we are looking again. Although I applaud the academic programs, the school is clicky and is not inclusive to 'other races.' As for the activities, I have never felt included. They claim to want to diversify the student body, but they don't do much to make you feel included. Since Junior High is very important for the development of one's self-esteem, I have to do something else for my child so she doesn't feel excluded. Read less

Read more at Cedar Creek was once a strong program that everyone wanted to be in but those who became a part of it were mostly scorned as nerds and the former head of the department allowed it to dilapidate and most of the students didn't really achieve the potential that they could have met. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
