Riverside i a great school. Sure, it has it's share of problems but, what school doesn't. The board members are easy to talk to. The tution is not the cheapest. I love Riverside, so many people had something to say about me putting my kids there, but the it was the best decision my husband and I have made yet. It has a great academic program, as well as athletics for all ages. Keep up the great work RA!

I am a new student, and I am very concerned about the academics. The academic department is appauling because the prinicble is naive and believes that everything is perfect. It's not, it is the athletics that runs the school, and the non-athletic people are the ones who get the downside.

My daughter transfer to Riverside during the second half of her Junior year. Administation, faculty and students welcomed her with open arms. The administration was very careful to make sure that her transfer credits were all in place for graduation and TOPS eligibility. Riverside is a small school
... Read more that is very personable. I attended several of their Football Pep Rallies and truely felt that this is what it would be like to grow up in a small hometown. The academics have been very good. My daughter feels that she will be prepared for college in both English and Math. I would high recommend RIverside, especially for kids who thrive in smaller schools. Read less

I personally think that Riverside is an athletic school and not academic..my oldest son was given grades so he could play football. This school is constantly changing principals. Now Riverside is messed up..They are always raising tuition and now they are giving you options on how to pay your tuition, i guess thats because of the so called wonderful prinicipal they have now. Due to hurricane Katrina both my 4th grader and 9 grader became displaced students. After sourcing several schools, I felt as if we found a home away from home at Riverside Academy. The academic programs far exceed some of those at the blue ribbon schools. In six weeks my children have blossomed. My

My thirteen-year-old brother also attends Riverside and he shares my feelings as well. The education far exceeded anything that we had seen in public school and now being a college sophomore, I know that Riverside prepared me for my road ahead. The extracurricular activities are also great and teach you leadership and team work while allowing you to have fun in the process. I would recommend Riverside to everyone! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
