The principal is very caring but the rest of the administration is lacking in disciplinary and sensitivity skills. They have coaches in some of the classrooms, which just does not work out right. The new art program, however, is highly successful, thanks to Ms. Laura's dedication and high qualifications.

I have 5 children there. To me it is the best school in the area that balances the offerings they have very well. None of my children play football. Soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country and baseball are some of the sports my children have played. As a person who has gone to both public and
... Read more private schools, I value a school that places Jesus in the middle of education, sports, and school activity. This school gets an 'A' from me. As far as parental involvment goes, you get what you put into it. If you don't put into it, others will. And they will get their way. As long as this school keeps on track with following Catholic teaching, prayer, good morals, and seeking of the will of God, it will continue to do well. Read less

I have two graduates from CHSPC. The education they recieved is the best in Pointe Coupee. My daughter is now attending U.L.L. majoring in Business Administration and my son joined the Air Force. Neither of my children played football although we were very busy with softball, cheerleading, baseball
... Read more and soccer, as well as 4-H and Beta Club. For a small school the number of extracurricular activities is outstanding. The school has many loyal supporters and cannot be matched for caring and concern by faculty and administration. As a financially challenged family, the sacrifices necessary to send my children to CHSPC were well worth it! Read less

I have two children who have graduated from here. I am satisfied overall with the school and the education my kids have received. Both score above the national average on the ACT and other standardized tests. Unfortunately there are no music or art corses. Anything like that must be paid for by the parents
... Read more as an after school activity. If your child is in football the sports program is fine. Any other sport is basicly ignored. The athletic director does not promote any sport except [the] football program, so if you have a child that participates in other sports, don't expect much. I believe the level of parental involvement needs to be improved. I guess the level of involvement is up to you. Read less

Advanced Placement

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
