This school does have a PTO. They do not have regular meetings that they had a few years ago but do accomplish goals by asking for parents input and involvement. There are also Family nights. The teachers as well as the principal are always available to address any concerns that a parent may have. Your
... Read more childs safety and education is #1. For the 7 years I have had children going to Midway, the school has constantly grown and improved. They may not have a gym for the little ones but have regular performances on their large stage for them. Parental involvement is awesome! I can honestly say I am extremely pleased with Midway after leaving Montessori school with my first child. I am sad that I have only 1 year left with our extended family at Midway. My son is in Kindergarten here. He was also in Pre-K here. We were worried about sending him to a public school, but one of the aids (Ms. Sticker) assured us that this was a wonderful school. We are so HAPPY that we made the decision to send him here!! It is faboulous! He is only in kindergarten

No Midway does not have a gym, but it is k-4 thru 2nd grade. They do all their P.E. outside. The school does have a pta, but due to lack of parental interest they do not have regular meetings. They had a math and science family night and the games were geared toward each grade level. I know they do use
... Read more parental volunteers because a lot of my friends volunteer there. Also the principal is always available to talk with any parent who has concerns or ideas. I have found that all my sons teachers have been kind and helpful and always available if I had any concerns to address. This is by far the best elementary school in the parish. Read less

Advanced Placement
