I graduated Grace King in 2004 and was very active in my school as I participated in yearbook, leadership, executive board, wrestling, drama, and art throughout my time at GK. ... Read more only problems I had with Grace King come from the administration and the mission statement of the school. Counselors don't prepare students for college nor do they counsel. There uniform policy does not cohere to there mission statement. I suggest reading both before enrolling your child. GK mission statement: 'The Mission of our school community is to foster democratic values, to prepare students for everyday life, and to promote an intellectual, moral, social, safe, nurturing environment which is conducive to educational success for all students.' Most of the teachers do not go out of their way to help the students. The teachers forget that they are supposed to be there for the children. I was a sophmore at GK before the hurricane and I am so sad that I won't be going back probably until my senior year. school just started on August 22th and I was so excited to be back. * In 2007-2008 Louisiana used the Graduate Exit Examination for the 21st Century (GEE 21) to test grade 10 students in math and English language arts and grade 11 students in science and social studies. Advanced Placement
