This is a great school! My daughter is attending kindergarten, and she loves it. Her teacher is excellent. She is learning a lot. Dr. Wiseman is a great principal and seems highly motivated. I appreciate her involvement and enthusiasm. The PTA is incredibly organized and there is a lot of parent involvement.

I am thrilled with the quality of education my children are receiving at Pontchartrain. My daughter is in third grade and my son in kindergarten. Both have highly qualified and motivated teachers. Pontchartrain is a large school with close to 600 students. It doens't seem big. Everything is well organized.

The class size for K was 21 students. I believe this is true for grades 1-3 as well. I was disappointed in the lack of physical education and music classes; especially for this age group. Overall, the school is nice.

Ponchatrain Elementary is one of the finest schools in this parish. This is my childs third year at Pontchatrain and It can honestly be said that the teachers seem to stay consistant with the previous year teachings, in such a way that the children have an easy transition from one grade to the other.

Advanced Placement
