10 Parent Reviews for Lake Harbor Middle School

I have to disagree with the parents who state that the principals look down on you if you raise a complaint. My child is in her third year at Lake Harbor and has thrived here. Last year, the fit between she and her teacher was wrong. I spoke to the principal, had her moved to another class, and she ...  Read more

I feel Lake Harbors reputation is unwarranted. my son had a horrible year with a teacher who cared more about the paycheck then the students. You need to be on the A list to get anywhere with this school. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

If you want a school that treats all children like they are five, looks down on children with a little lesser means, doesn't beleive that discipline should be any harsher than 'Now Johnny that's not nice', and doesn't know what to do if your child doesn't fit into the 'perfect little mold'. This school has the potential to be an outstanding school, however, the teachers are in need of recognizing the differences in learning styles and in being consistent in their discipline and expectations.

This is a good school only if your child learns by their methods. They are not open to teaching different ways even if a child would benefit from it.

Lake Harbor is very loving and caring of all the students that attend. No student is left behind. All teachers are certerfied, hard working and provide the necessary materials by buying them out of their own pockets.

My oldest child was part of the opening of the school. He had a really great experience in 6th grade. My daughter has had a terrific year at LHMS in 4th grade. The teachers are awesome and truly care about the learning environment. The faculty and staff have a genuine love for the students!

My child has been attending this school since it was built, he had problems at his prior school; which have not come back to haunt him at this school. He actually enjoys going to school, he likes his teachers and classmates, and even gets up early to prepare for classes. I am really impressed by the ...  Read more
