At best this school is average. Parental involvement has been steadily decreasing due to the lack of respect given to those who choose to volunteer. Field trips tend to be to the movies to view films of little educational value. Teachers are doing the best they can with what they are given. Issues with
... Read more overcrowding are many. With a population of near 1000 students there are minimal bathroom facilities. To feed the student body lunch must start by 10:40AM. More students are taught in portables and modular buildings than the actual school. this is a Parish wide problem beginning with issues on the school board. If the board members would put the needs of the teachers and students first the results could be outstanding but until that happens my feelings are no school here can be more than average. Read less

Teachers at this school go above and beyond to provide the students with the tools they need to be successful in life. Since this school does not receive any extra funding, these teachers take their time to write grants to receive funds to purchase necessary materials. The only issue I have is that
... Read more all students do not have desks. There are many classes that still have tables and chairs (not Kindergarten mind you). For some reason, this school is neglected by the school board because it is a high performing school. Students at this school should be treated the same and given the same materials as other schools in the parish. Read less

I know this is a great school academically.I have two children enrolled at Mulberry. However, there is a problem at Mulberry that is getting worse. This is not because Mulberry is easier than private school. On the contrary, my child was pushed to his academic limit, but he thrived from the positive reinforcement and outstanding teaching capabilities of the staff at Mulberry. Advanced Placement
