Our child went to BGS for a few years and we felt that BGS was all about sports, cliques, and money, not education. This is why we took our child out of BGS. My child was going to another school when she was being mistreated and the Bowling Green School family welcomed us with open arms. My children have attended since moving here shortly after hurricane Katrina. I only rated this school average because when you balance out the education (which for the most part is great) with the attitude and behavior of the faculty/staff and other students that is the best I can offer. I was an Air Force MP staying at the BG school for two weeks in Sept. of 2005 for Katrina relief and security details. The staff were very kind and friendly. The elementary grades from pre-k up to about 4th grade are using the A-Bekka program to teach reading and it is wonderful! The pre-k is reading! Phonics is the way to go!
