The teachers and faculty are genuinely interested in the 'whole' child. It's so nice to have your child's school stand behind you, as a parent, to help your child excel in every way.

It not only places students at or near the top of their classes upon graduation, but, they provide the most well rounded education(spiritual, intellectual, physical) in southern Louisiana. The teachers usually are extremely qualified but most of the time working well below the average rate of pay for

This school's curriculum is very weak for a private school. I, too, also transferred my child from here to one of the Mandeville public high schools and was more impressed there. I know that I am one of many who have done so over the years as well. If you live in Mandeville, don't waste the money. The

NCS is a breath of Fresh when it comes to schools. The parents are very committed and involved, and the curriculm is outstanding. Not sure where a complaint or dissatisfaction would lie my First Grader is learning 5 grade work. We have many friends who go to other schools on the Northshore, and comparing

The curriculum is no where near as strong as it could be. I transferred my child to one of the public schools in Mandeville after going to NCS for two years and the curriculum there was much more challenging. The children at NCS also seem very socially awkward. I'm not just basing this on one or two

NCS doesn't seem to offer the all-around education most parents seem to want for their children. I didn't have any particular bad experience, so I'm not just some angry parent. The school just wasn't up to par at all, especially when compared to some of the good public high schools in St. Tammany (don't know about Covington high though, since we lived in Mandeville). I COULDN'T SAY ENOUGH great things about NCS. My kids attended a private school in Metairie, and the 'religious' aspect of the school seemed more like an obligation than a way of life. When we moved to Covington, and discovered NCS, it was a breath of fresh air. I remember seeing high school students

The atmosphere is completely genuine ... the 'real deal' if a Christ-centered environment is important to you. There has never been a moment for us, as a family, where we have wished that there is more that the school can offer to us in the way of academics, athletic programs and social programs. It is extremely 'rare' to hear that a family is having a bad experience at this school. Read less

Great school - loving Christian environment. Unlike previous reviewers, NCS HAS won state championships (volleyball won just last year) and baseball has been state runner up for several years. Soccer, basketball, swimming, tennis and probably more I'm not aware of have ALL made state playoffs. Also,

Curriculum is strong - all you have to do is interview graduates who will tell you how prepared they were for college. This school is perfectly well rounded. Leaders are awesome Christian people who care deeply about every student. If your child is a trouble maker, partier, slacker, then perhaps this is not the school for him/her. Read less

I do not recommend this school unless you are a member of Church of the King. My child was challenged more academically in the St. Tammany Parish public schools then at NCS. Was not satisfied with the school at all. The school has a constantly changing curriculum and is always changing things providing no steady leadership. It is a class 1A school, and has never won a championship in any sports program, so has no succesful sports programs.
