I am very unhappy with this school now. I requested a meeting with my child's teacher concerning my child's progress. after 3 weeks I received a response. I seem to be re-teaching my child a home. I believe this school was great at one time, and JCPS as a whole may be to blame for why it isn't now. My daughter went to this school k-2nd grade and I had to take her out 3rd because we moved.We miss this school sooo bad.The best teachers ever!She learned so much and made so many friends at McFerran. I would definately recommend this school to anyone!

We were amazed at the variety of programs and activities at McFerran for every child! Our special needs child is thriving and loves being treated as well as he is at McFerran. Certainly surpassed our highest expectatations and hopes.

This is wonderful school! It has many programs for special needs students. The teachers are well eduacated and can deal with the special need students. They have lots of programs and I am pleased that my youngest will be going there this year.

* In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined.
