... Read more of the larger bone groups and have a neuro anatomy and cardiovascular class in the elemantry portion of the school. I feared this would be too advanced but the fashion everything was presented in was good for their level. I feel that due to the good teachers and teaching methods it makes it easier for the children to retain all the information they are given. I am also a student at KCD, and I love this school. I have played almost every sport there is, and have been in two plays. At KCD, the teachers are caring and in my opinion, the best in the region. The school work is very challenging, but very fun. I would not want to go to any better school. Ever.

My son just entered kindergarden at KCD and went to Junior K there last year. My husband and I are absolutely love this school. I would recommend to anyone interested. My son loves the teachers and their teaching style so much.

I am a student at KCD, and I am so glad to be lucky enough to experience this. First of all, I have an A+ average, and it was because of the stellar teachers that teach there (most notably some of the now retired teachers.) ... Read more productions are a joy to act in, and also, for all parents, a joy to watch. Their music productions are so vivid and emotional, and the art there is just fantastic. KCD provides an excellent lunch as well, with the kitchens having five star chefs. The after school programs are very educational, even for sports, for a team is rewarded more for having good sportsmanship than winning the game. The teaching at KCD makes you want to come to school, for it is so exciting and spirited. Overall, KCD rocks! Read less

The academic programs at KCD are varied and challenging. The lower school has just implemented an excellent new math program. They are also researching ways to improve the 'reading comprehension' of all students. A new lower school 'Strings' program was added this year. Their 50 acre campus allows

Kentucky Country Day is, all around, an amazing school. 15% of the senior class were national merit semi-finalists. My daughter is academically gifted, and KCD has been helpful and supportive, always providing teachers that will help her make the most of her school experience. Peer pressure and teasing

KCD also has a distinguished athletic program, with the sixth grade and eighth grade field hockey teams winning the Chestnut and Acorn field hockey tournaments, respectively. The seventh/eighth grade volleyball team won their championship, as did the soccer team. The varsity field hockey team captured state. KCD is an all-accpeting community, respected by all. Read less

Advanced Placement
