Cal is a great school It's one of the top in Kentucky private and public schools. But most people who attend here are wealthier than the rest of the community and that makes it hard for with kids who come from a less wealthy family to adjust. The academics are great, the school is safe, and the teachers

I have three children in the school. We are very pleased with the quality of academics and the Christian world view in the elementary school overall. This is our first year with one child in middle school. It is very different from the elementary and I am still evaluating and developing my opinion
... Read more about it. It seems less accademically rigorous to me. My children's classes (as a whole grade) have differing personalities and some are sweeter and more cooperative than other classes. This was true during my educational experience as well. I have not seen a big turnover of teachers in the elementary. There is a huge amount of parent involvement. Tricia Chandler Read less

Firstly, I am not a parent, but I have been going to Christian Academy (CAL) for over a decade now, so I'd like to think of myself as an authority. When I first enrolled there was about 300 in the entire school, now there are 300 in any two given classes. With this comes growing pains. The focus

The admissions policy is now extrememly lax, and while I certainly do not expect every student to be a Christian, they really will let anybody with enough money in. Class sizes have also steadily increased. While there was once a limit of 20 in each class, there now appears to be no limit as I have classes with 27 other people. If you're thinking about sending your kid to CAL, go ahead, but expect the chasm between quality and cost grow. Read less
