I am a teacher and I am also a parent. My child does not go to LMS due to us living out of district. I often feel it was a mistake on my part not to bring my child here to attend school. We have an awesome school where we focus on our kids and what is absolutely best for them. We instill trust, academics,

Leestown Middle School is a horrible school. I hoped that the new principal would do something to improve the climate of the school but she is very rude and has great need in learning how to communicate with people. This school is on the rise! There has been a lot of potential for this school for years now. It's true that it's been rocky, and we have had difficulty with consistancy and support... and by support, I mean to include and emphasize support from our community and the parents. It is difficult to move

My daughter attends Leestown now. She is in the 8th grade. I agree with the parents here that teachers are not what they used to be. I have witnessed the same thing and have even brought this to the attention of school officials, but no one seems to care because its not there kids going to school

By far the worst school I have ever had to deal with. 'It needs help' is a huge understatement. Teachers yelling at students all day long, is totally unacceptable. * In 2007-2008 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in several subjects. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The results reflect the performance of students enrolled for at least 100 days before testing. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky. KCCT academic indices range between 0 and 140, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
