If you are thinking about putting your child into this school don't. As a military parents of 17 years and many excellent schools, this is the WORST one we have ever encountered. It is certainly not because he isn't bright and it isn't because we haven't tried to contact the teachers and work things out. There are a few special caring teachers there but not a lot. The principal is aweful and couldn't care less as for the counselor, don't even bother asking to talk to one of them they don't care either. My son is miserable and lost. Not good Read less
This school has been awful. My son's grades have slipped. I have tried numerous times to contact the teachers, only one out of six returns my calls. I tried to contact the principal, and was not helped much. The guidance counselor has also been unavailable to help my son despite my direct request.

My three children have attended Ft. Riley Middle school over the past 5 years. They have had the opportunity to be apart of a wonderfully diverse educational experience. The teachers are highly quilified and take their time to really understand the students. The staff provides consistant feedback

The school has extra curricular activities my kids took advantage of too; band, music, sports, student senate and National Jr. Honor Society. Ft. I have always received a quick response back, which is important to parents. If my child ever has a problem they find a solution (one that will work for my son). My son has a very dedicated team who gives him just the right amount of support. My son has had a great experience at this school. Teachers have taken time to understand who my son is and brought the best qualities out of in my son. They really make students and parents feel welcome. Read less

... Read more my son's teachers continued to keep me informed of his progress. His teacher from Team 9 even took the time to video tape his performance of a song he wrote and mailed it to me. Does the school have problems? Of course, what school doesn't. But it's the wonderful things that teachers do for our kids and our families that often gets overlooked. * In 2007-2008 Kansas used the Kansas State Assessments (KSA) to test students in grades 3 though 8 and 11 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 11 in science; and in grades 6, 8 and 11 in history-government. Advanced Placement

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
