Read what parents are saying about St. Monica SchoolOur kids have had an amazing educational experience at St. Monica’s. The faculty and staff are fully engaged in meeting each child’s academic, social and emotional needs. My kids’ mastery of skills each year has been supported by the test scores they earn. There are a wide range of clubs and activities for kids to get involved in, like athletics, robotics, scouts, academic challenge teams, the Giving Garden, and Chess Club, too. There really is something for everyone. St. Monica’s is a diverse community, and we celebrate that diversity. And, parent involvement is not only welcome at St. Monica’s, it’s encouraged. Our family has truly loved being part of the St. Monica family.
Posted by a parent on 10/16/2023St. Monica Catholic School is truly a gem in the world of education. From the moment you step into the school, you can feel the warmth and dedication of the faculty, staff, and students. I have had two of my daughters benefit from being students here (one still is!), and two nephews!Firstly, the academic programs at St. Monica Catholic School are top-notch. The school provides a rigorous and challenging curriculum, including advance math courses, science, and social studies, that ensures students are well-prepared for their future academic endeavors. The teachers are highly qualified and passionate about their subject matter, and they go above and beyond to ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need to succeed.Secondly, the school's commitment to character development is outstanding. St. Monica Catholic School provides a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages students to grow not only academically but also spiritually, emotionally, and socially. The school places a strong emphasis on community service, and students are taught the value of giving back to others.Thirdly, the extracurricular activities at St. Monica Catholic School are impressive. The school offers a wide range of clubs, sports teams, band, robotics, and art classes that cater to the diverse interests of the student body. Whether a student is interested in sports, music, drama, or community service, they will find an activity that suits them at St. Monica Catholic School.Lastly, the school's diverse sense of community is truly unique. The faculty, staff, students, and parents all work together to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters learning, growth, and friendship. There is a real sense of belonging and camaraderie at St. Monica Catholic School that is hard to find elsewhere.Overall, I would highly recommend St. Monica Catholic School to any family looking for a high-quality education in a nurturing and supportive environment. This school truly embodies the spirit of Catholic education and is a wonderful place for students to learn and grow.
Posted by a parent on 10/5/2023The dedication and responsiveness of the teachers and administration at St. Monica. It is amazing to me that my children's individual needs can be addressed while at the same time being part of a larger community that reinforces them as students and us as parents. St. Monica is a truly special place.
Posted by a parent on 1/22/2018I highly recommend this school because the principal and the teachers really care about the students. My children progressed academically and their faith has grown and driven to be better.
Posted by a parent on 1/21/2018St. Monica has been a great fit for our family. Diversity is celebrated at SMS; service minds and hearts are encouraged; and we do not feel there is a “keeping up with the Joneses” mentality that you may find elsewhere. Our kids have been supported, encouraged and challenged at appropriate levels.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had high hopes Sycamore could provide our son with a quality education, and we’re sold on the promise of expertise with handling 2e kids. That expertise was simply not there. They had done only the minimum to implement the accommodation plans we discussed each Fall, but we are aware our child can be trying. We were disappointed, but not every school can serve every child. That was good enough for us until they thought to mail us a yearbook recently for last year. Our son was excited to open the package and see all his former classmates, only to be crestfallen to see that he has been unceremoniously expunged from history. WHY MAIL THE DAMNED BOOK TO US? WHY DO THAT TO A CHILD? It was a totally classless move by a school that thinks far too highly of itself.Parent Review1y ago - The Orchard School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUntil the new Head of School took over this was an amazing school and it would have received unlimited stars from our family. Since taking over a few years ago the school is on a steady decline and if it weren't for the fact my child was so close to graduation we would have left. The environment is no longer welcoming, the teachers have gotten lazy, the quality of everything right down to the meal service has gotten worse with each year. So sad to see such an amazing, long standing school be destroyed by the new administration.Parent Review11mo ago - Hasten Hebrew Academy
