Park Tudor School (Pk-5)

We are very happy with Park Tudor. We looked at the other two prominent private lower schools as well, but felt PT offered whole child enrichment based on our informal polling of coworkers and friends. Our family is quite progressive by Indiana standards, and we have found our home at PT. Our kids love their classmates and teachers. The teachers are invested in their students and are innovative with lesson planning. Park Tudor didn’t really advertise specifics of their lower school very much during the application process - maybe they don’t need to - but we have been very pleasantly surprised at the level of small group and personalized academics.

Good school but could use more resources to ensure that the kids have closer supervision

Small nurturing environment with very low student/teacher ratios. The campus is unbelievable. Preschool through 12th environment where even the youngest kids feel connected as Panthers.

Our children started here. The school looks great on paper and for admissions tours. If your children are perfectly mannered, docile and physically adroit, they will do well here. It's student body is made up of mostly white or Asian families. The administration nor teachers have any tolerance for occasionally misbehaving 5-6 year olds in kindergarden. We transfered this year to Orchard (also private) and the children have blossomed under a nurturing, diverse, accepting faculty and administration. The behavioral problems that developed under a very restrictive staff at Park Tudor the previous year now are resolved. $32k was a lot to waste for two kids for one year when they didn't do well socially.
