I have to say my review of NPMS is mixed. We moved into the district from out of state several years ago. I don't have any complaints regarding paying for watching the sports events as that is common practice where we moved from. I have had mixed experience with the staff. I heard terrible things
... Read more about Mr. England before my child moved to the middle school, but he has been extremely helpful in some difficult situations. However, I have heard large amounts of praise for the teachers, but have had difficulties with communication with some of them. Communication of problems before they become large is my biggest gripe. Why wait until a child is in too deep to dig out before you offer a shovel? Read less

I am a parent of a 'city-transfer' student and I am also dissatisfied by the system at the middle school. I feel that the teachers favor students whose parents always volunteer but do not appreciate the fact that some parents work full time. There is only one teacher for each subject so if you are
... Read more unhappy with their teaching style there are no alternatives. My child was getting A s & B s before we transferred to this school and is now struggling to get C s & D s. The e-mail system of homework assignments would be a great concept, if it were consistent. Some teachers send several e-mails a week changing the homework schedule and some do not send any. Paying private school tuition is looking more appealing. Read less

I as a current middle student, actually do agree with alot of these comments. 1. the dress code should be handled differently. Needs to make the dress code a little easiar. 2. The teachers and staff do point fingers. 3. I think it's ridiculous that you have to have a physical to play sports. I went

We were aloud to wear shorts any size, and this school don't alow anything! I do not recomend anybody enroll in this school. I am a city-girl and if you are not born and raised in the country you will not exactly fit in. Mr. Tippin was a wonderful addition to the school. I think he has the right things in mind and is trying to make things better. If you go to sporting events at any school around here, they all charge to get it. I know it's that way with volleyball, football & basketball gasmes. Teachers do tend to

That is not right, all should be treated the same. There is not one school where every person is completely happy. You're going to have the non-athletic kids and parents who hate all who are invlolved in athletics. It's like that at every school. Al in al it's a pretty good school. Read less

I have never seen such a horrible school system. This school system doesn't put a lot of logic into any of their decisions. When something goes wrong the staff spend more time finger pointing than addressing the issues at hand. If I knew then, what I know now, I would never have moved into a house in

You might as well no choose to enroll in this school at all. As far as academics go, it seems not too many students are into any academic related clubs unless you can count football and weight-lifting. I was very amazed at the feedback from some of the parents I found here. North Putnam is a wonderful school system, with a very supportive staff. I can only speak for the Middle School because that is where my daughter is, she too tried out for cheerleader and made it. The middle school coaches had several

I am a parent of a high school student at north putnam. I though I might have been the only parent that felt the way I do until i happened to find this site.
