The principal and staff are excellent, from the teachers to the custodians there is no one employed there that isn't committed to the students educations! The bus drivers and assistants are awesome too! I always feel confident and secure when my son goes to school, I know he is in good hands. Even though

I am a current freshman at PSH and I am very unsatisfied with my school. Teachers and students alike are disrespectful. Most of the teachers just don't care. Most of the students just come because they have to. One of my teachers this year doesn't even have a teaching license! I feel I haven't been learning

Registered our teens today and the staff was very polite and professional. Seems to be a good school and we are impressed with the PHS' goal to have all students take time out to read for 30 minutes every school morning. I am a current student at PHS. I will be going into my Junior year next year. I must say that the class sizes are way too big and there is a big problem with student attitude. The class sizes desperately need to be reduced and something needs to be done about the attitude of the students, and teachers as well. No one seems to care about anything except athletics anymore. It doesn't matter if you are Valedictorian of the school, you still don't matter because the school bases everything on athletics. This is a wonderful school to learn but the teachers and principals need some guidance as to what's important in making a school. Read less

I attended PHS my freshman and sophomore years. I was very dissatisfied with the school administraton and safety. I did not feel safe at this school and was not excited to learn. * In 2008-2009 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 10 in English/language arts and math, and in grades 5 and 7 in science. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. High school students are required to pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ to receive a high school diploma. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.
