This school is very low on discipline. It is sickening how the children are allowed to behave. How this school rates 8 out of 10 is beyond me. Visit the school during lunch to get an accurate view of the schools standards before deciding to send your child there.

I love DCMS deeply!!! 6th grade is the bst year and will always be my favorite year you learn so many things and the 7th and 8th graders help you learn too. The only thing I dislike is the rude lunch ladies and overcoading in hallways and lockers majorly!!!!

I absolutely love this school!!! I am a student at this school and a sixth grade student. I was scared at first to switch to a new school but our principal totally cheere me up with a warm greeting. Doe Creek is an awesome school! The teachers are great! I'm a student and I have lots of friends here and I love DCMS! The principal is great! He is oppsessed with the colts! We have Spirit day where we get to act insane and we have spirit week where we get to dress up and stuff! I love my school!

I enrolled my children in the Southern Hancock School System after being in a private christian school for three years. I have been extremely impressed at the academic standards of the school. * In 2008-2009 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 10 in English/language arts and math, and in grades 5 and 7 in science. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. High school students are required to pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ to receive a high school diploma. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.
