students are not encourages to be involved in extracurricular activities and there is little selection. the classrooms are dark and most have no windows, making it feel similar to a prison. desks are falling apart and some of them are dated to the 1960s. I'm embarrased to say i'm a 'bulldog'

I really do not think that this is a good platform to judge a school. Most people that complain about a school complain about everything. They need to look within and see if they themselves need to make a change. Children learn most from the parents, as it should be. Set a good example. If there

I think the world of NHHS! I am a 2002 graduate, and I would go back in a heart beat. People who do not think the extracurricular activities were good is probably because they were never involved. There is something for everyone at NHHS! It ranges from student government, academic clubs, band, and

If you have any alternative school for your child to choose from, please do so! While high schools are supposed to be involved with the community from which it receives children, this school is ridiculous. Whatever the oldest child of a family was like, each successive child will benefit from or pay

Other problems stem from the administration. Children who at no other school would be disciplined are cited for small to pointless 'violations' of the rules. I spent some of the worst four years here ever. The upside is that Fort Wayne has so many schools, that once you walk out the doors at 3pm, you no longer have to associate yourself with the students or the faculty. Read less

My daughter attends this school, and so has my older son, and both of them recount their previous and current experiences as less than memorable. Many of the teachers are biased, helping the students with whom they believe have the academic potential to succeed, or whose names are just well known around

She said the teachers got frustrated with her when she didn't understand material, and often seemed as though she annoyed them with her questions. I do not advocate this school in any way, and if you have any alternative choice for your child's education I would advise seeking it out. If I had any other choice in schools, my daughter would definitely be switching ASAP. Read less

The teachers here are wonderful; they're willing to help and want to see the students succeed. However, the administration within the school is less than efficient. There is little response to input from parents, and on more than one occasion, parents have simply been ignored. They are more concerned

Like I said though, the teachers are great; they were extremely helpful to me throughout my 4 years there, and I felt as though I learned a lot. This school has potential, but they need a principal who is there for the kids, not for his own glory. Once they take care of that problem, the school will improve drastically, and teachers and students alike would all be happier. Read less
