Highland Terrace is a great elementary school in a small city setting near farm land. We have special education classes and ESL classes. We really like our new art and music rooms. Our children attended 2 other elementary schools as well as Highland Terrace. Our children, and us, found this school to be the best. * In 2008-2009 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 10 in English/language arts and math, and in grades 5 and 7 in science. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. High school students are required to pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ to receive a high school diploma. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.
