I am a former student and now a parent of children in the Leo school system. I am pleased at the academic level that these kids are receiving compared to other school systems and I am proud to send my kids to Leo!

I'm a senior at Leo and throughout my four years I've been consistently disappointed. They offer very few electives, and the opportunities available to students are nothing compared to larger schools in the area. There are a handful of wonderful teachers at Leo but there is alot of teachers who are there for a paycheck and thats it. Leo has wonderful academic challenges, but almost no school spirit or related activites. The high school experience is next to nothing. The school seems so worried about exallence that they forget that they are working with teenagers and not employees.

I have 2 daughters currently at Leo High School and have been generally pleased with their education and extracurricular activities. * In 2008-2009 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 10 in English/language arts and math, and in grades 5 and 7 in science. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. High school students are required to pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ to receive a high school diploma. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.
