My family has been part of this school for 8 years. In the beginning we started out with a good principal then moved on to a principal who did not seem to have our childrens best interest at heart. Last year a new principal joined our school and I knew from our first meeting things were looking brighter.

I am completing my first year at Nativity. It has been fantastic! We are very blessed to have so much parent involvement in our school! From the renovation of our Literacy Center to our new security system to multisensory math instruction, this year seen some marvelous growth. I can't wait to see

Numerous problems at this school. Discipline is the biggest concern. Uniforms and dress code is the next. Turn over in teachers each year. School does not follow the faith based education it claims. Children are not held accountable for their actions in behavior. I would not recommend this school.

I have had a student at Nativity for over 3 years now and was initially disappointed with the previous principal and some of the staff but with the new principal and new additions to the teaching staff I see great strides being made in the overall academic performance of all the students and the classes.
... Read more The principal has high expectations for both teachers and students in regards to faith, morality, learning, and commumity obligation! There have been many great changes thus far. This is not a rich parish and will not be 'extravagant' in it's surface but when you look to the quality of the education, the commitment of the current parental community and the 'family feeling' that is within the walls of the school and the sports programs, you will find that there a true benefits to becoming a part of the Nativity Family! I have recently experienced their PreSchool and the teacher is terrific! The confidence that the teacher built in my child was a blessing! I feel confident that he will be ready for full day Kindergarten. The school appears to be in a 'rebuilding' phase and adding more positive and updated facilities

There are currently no identified 'gifted' programs but from what I have discussed with the teachers I am associated with, they provide extra work and small group study with students in their classes to challenge any students who are working above the wrtitten work guidelines. On the other extreme, I have also had experience with the Nativity Resource Teacher and my child excellerated with her help to where he needed to be! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
