... Read more as a parent, I also help my child at home. I feel that with parent involvement and a good teacher, a struggling student should be able to improve. That was not the case with my child. The transition from first to second grade is the key area. A lot of students get held back every year and have to take first grade over. This is not a good school at all, we would not recommend this school to any minority students. The principal is not understanding, and not willing to help out. They need to develop an after school program to help the parents who are working hard to make an earnest living.

* In 2007-2008 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 10 in English/language arts and math and in grades 5 and 7 in science. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. Advanced Placement
