Read more particular academic and social challenges.The science ,art,and music programs are first rate.The new parish priest and prinicipal are clearly dedicated to the school's mission, as exemplified by recent significant capital improvements ,the addition of more extracurricular activities,and their strong presence at all school activities.We are Catholic and are very happy with St.Charles faith based education, and the children's regular participation at mass.A number of parents/friends who are non-Catholic seem to appreciate that St.Charles is faith based ,yet respectful of their religious affiliations.The parental involvement at the Gala,school events,and sacraments is very strong.We are very happy with the school. I went to St. Charles for 7 years. I my opinion the discipline very harsh, the dress code is stressed to much. Also St. Charles' education is only as good as a public school. I have 2 children going through the school. English is strong, religion and social studies are consistently better than most. Math, science and leadership are very weak. I feel that overall, you pay private school fees and get public school indifference. Discipline is over the top and inconsistent....Kids

I have 2 graduates and one still in this school. Overall I'm very pleased with the teachers/staff and heavy parent involvement. Being a private school, there are limitations on special needs provided.

I love St. Charles. Some of the teachers are quirky, yes, but most of them are absolutely amazing. I loved my experience at St. Charles, and i wouldn't go to another school for anything in the world. (Granted, wearing a uniform isn't very fun, but it is worth it!)

The academic programs are the best in the area. They have a top notch music, art, and PE program. For a school this size, they offer a wide variety of after school sports. The parents are very involved! Overall a great school.

This school has a very good middle school. Certain teachers are excellent, and others are okay. Social studies and science are especially well taught. Catholic values are highly stressed, though children who are non-catholic may still attend. This is the best middle school for children in Bloomington,

Advanced Placement
