Ok, lets try and cover some of the things that have been brought up in other reviews. I attended TPHS from 2004-2007 so I can say I have some of the most recent experience here. ... Read more level. The football team is made up of the local kids that want to play. As far as athletic opportunity, this school is second to none. Secondly, the school is not racist or anything of that nature. The diversity in this school is what makes this school so amazing. We dont have tension between races or anything like that. Never had any problems with gangs. I had the opportunity to go to Andrew, Lincoln Way East, and Sandburg after 2 years at TPHS and I passed it up to continue going there. Read less

TPHS is probably one of the best schools that anyone could attend. The diversity, academics, teachers, athletics, etc. It has a great family feeling. As with anything in life nothing is perfect! I adore the principal, Dr. Theresa Zielinski (a former TP student as well) and most of the staff is awesome. I chose my home based on my children being able to attend this school. I graduated from TPHS a few years ago the guidance staff was most helpful when choosing a college. The rest of the staff is just as good. The diversity is what makes TPHS a wonderful school. I am now working on my bachelors degree in early childhood education, thanks to TPHS early childhood classes
... Read more which helped me choose what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Take advantage of all the activities they have to offer as well as sports and services. They are there for you! Ask for help-thats what the staff is there for. As for the parking pass $50 is not that bad, the earing thing has been around for a while so what? Also, show the freshman around then they wont be so lost and hallways wont be so crowded. Make friends and have fun-it will be over before you know it! Trust Me. Read less

Tinley Park High School is GREAT! There is a lot of different kinds of students, from different countries. It is an interesting place to acknowledge the different cultures around the world! This school is lousy as far as diversity is concerned. TPHS try to place all minority children in low tracks whereas they aren't learning anything. It's racist undertones all throughout this school. Tphs has been a great school since it began over 40 years ago. It is diverse and that just adds to it's charm. Advanced Placement
