Christ the King is an excellent choice if you have the means and don't mind spending what I think is a tremendous amount of money for a mediocre education and although members of the parish get a small break it is still quite costly. But unless you just want your child/children to only learn how nice the staff of a school can be than I say go for it this school is for you. Besides that; and I hate having to say it, but this school does not prepare their students for highschool at all and I do speak from experience. this school is horrible, the education is extremly poor, my daughter recently changed schools and is so glad that she did. the emphasis at christ the king is on MONEY, and you only 'fit in' if you spend money on the school. the school is a disaster. dont go there.

very very poor. we moved to springfield this year, and my son flunked half of his classes in the first and second quarters. we switched to a different catholic school (ironically, the rival) , and he did amazing. he is now at the top of his class, and while he rarley hung out with the other kids at CTK,

Read more he joined the blessed sacrament basketball team and has become close friends with all of his team mates. this school has done a much better job in preparing the kids for highschool, and i am very happy we switched DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO CTK! you will regret it. there, they emphesise cliques and popularity, and dont seem to care about grades AT ALL or real friends. This was not a good school for my daughter. The teachers are not supportive and did not respond to her needs. The teachers feel no obligation to respond to parent concerns and communication with the teachers was very difficult. Support staff are poor quality. Individaul needs are not addressed. My

She has blossomed in public school and is currently on the Honor Roll and involved in IMSA Science and the highest level math class in 6th grad. I can not in good conscience recommend this school to anyone. Read less

Excellence education for all students. Extracurricular activities are nearly limitless. Average class size is around 25-30 with two classes for each grade level. Parent involvement varies by the student, but overall is great. Does a great job of preparing the students for high school.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
