My daughter was new to the district last year in grade school and now attends the middle school. There is a lot of favoritism towards the kids that have been there since kindergarten or have older siblings in the district. Also in the latchkey program if you are one day late on payment your child is

Also the school has had very poor communication with me as a parent. There have been times my child has been punished, such as a lunch detention and there was never any notification from the school regarding this. Poor communication, policies I don't agree with that result in bullying of children, and very difficult to fit in as a newcomer to this district. Read less

I had one child in this school in 2011. He never made any friends. The kids teased him, in my opinion bullied him. We are a military family. The principal was trying but middle school is a tough group. The teachers were good although I have a big problem with teachers that can't spell correctly on homework
... Read more worksheets and have incorrect answers on tests. There was a lot of busy homework. Overall it the school was okay. My child did not like the school and was glad we moved. It is hard to "fit in" in a small town school where most of the kids have known each other forever. Read less

I find the negative reviews on this site completely false. My child has gone to Shiloh Middle School 5-8, and has had an amazing experience. The athletic program is not lacking as some have reported. They have a dedicated and hard working athletic director that has worked incredibly hard to bring more

The reviews say it all. The students write the reviews because they are in charge of the school. The principal has very little leadership qualities and no discipline qualities. Although it is a new school, it will get worse .

This school system, with the dictator-like leadership of the superintendent, really needs improvement. The prinicpals are her saving grace, however. The district is admittedly in the green from a fiscal standpoint but continues to charge book rental fees, typically for crappy hand-me down books. Teachers

Parents who give bad reviews of this school are crazy. My kids go to a Christian school until 4th grade and then we put them at Shiloh for 5th - 8th. No problems, like going to a small town school with people who care. Is it perfect? No - there are no perfect schools. I also taught school for 6 years
