Neil Armstrong is truly one of the worst schools in District 159. It is destroying our youth. It is disorderly and the most poorly run school I have ever seen. The children are terribly disrepectful and are clearly out of control, even to someone outside looking in. I have to admit that I am not

I have 2 children at Armstrong. Unfortunately, many programs have been cut or decreased (i.e., art is only offered during the 4th quarter) because a referendum requesting additional property tax money didn't pass. This has affected all the schools in district 159. Last year we lost our phenomenal

There is little parent involvement, the PTO has to struggle financially and volunteer-wise to provide fun activities for the students. Many activities like the school fair had to be dropped and parents either can't or won't pay their PTO dues. The children seem to be more disrespectful and have no problem cursing in front of other parents. There are some wonderful teachers at Armstrong but they don't have the necessary parental support or materials to do what's needed for the students. Very little homework is given. Read less

This is not a very good school academically or parentally. They treat the parents with as much disrespect as the kids and they don't listen or guide the parents or students toward success.
