Also, the principles set up what they call a 'safety box' where kids can put unsigned notes in there about things that are bothering them, like bullies, or even home problems. It has a great learning enviornment and I would recommend this school to anyone!! Read less

I am a 7th grade student at NMS, and I think this school is great. Yes, their sports fees are pretty intense, but thats about one of the few flaws I can see. I like the learning environment, and the teachers are pretty good. So I do recommend this school to families.

Read more sports and activities programs lays on the families at this time, our school still provides many opportunities for extracurricular and intramural activities for students to be involved outside the classroom. Parents are very involved in our school community and help to provide funding for assemblies and many special events. You can always count on parent volunteers to help when needed. ... Read more beleive the school system is. I have heard nothing good about the principal from many parents. Those that I have spoken to have nothing but conflicts when dealing with issues. If they are speaking to the parents in this manner how are they speaking to our children. Read less

I am a student at NMS. The teachers are pretty good and so is the parent involvement. There are lots of sports opportunities. I am sad, though, that there is no more music or Spanish. The school, and the entire district is experiencing some severe problems. I feel that these problems are not due to things happening within the school itself (principals, teacher quality, safety, etc...) but more the things happening as a rusult of poor management decisions made by the school board.
... Read more It is not uncommon for districts to have financial difficulties right now, but this is the result of a pressure that trickles down from the top; not from the bottom up! The condition that our district is in has been magnified however by the office of our superintendent, and the school board who seems very eager to offer him support. Advanced Placement
