The faculty is caring and very thoughtful to all the students needs. However, a better health education focus needs to be implemented. The small class sizes and the one on one atmosphere really gives my child the classroom experience that will last a life time.

Two of my daughters have learning disabilities and Zion was wonderful with them. Both have since graduated and moved on to high school. Yes, they have combined classes, but the teachers are wonderful and the class size is small so each child gets individuals attention. The younger children learn from

My son and daughter both love Zion Lutheran. The teachers are not just 'Good Teachers...' they truly care about nurturing each of their unique personalities. Zion does a wonderful job of sharing the love of Jesus Christ while providing the kids with a challenging curriculum. Both of my kids scored well
... Read more above average on their standardized tests. My 7th grade son was ranked a college level in Language Arts and my daughter, while in 1st grade, scored at a 3rd grade science level. I would highly recommend Zion Lutheran School to any parent. Read less

Zion was a good experience...as far as religion goes. But a student who goes there for 3 years could have the same teacher the whole time. What I mean is all of Zion's classes are combined, and as a former student there it was harder to ask questions because most times the teacher was too busy with the

The classes were, I admit more challenging than at my public school, but to give the public school credit you don't have to pay anything and you get more sports, activities and acedemic programs than Zion did, and you had to pay about $300 per child. Zion has the best teachers in the area. They give attention to each child and will talk to any parent whenever they wish to talk. They have an open door policy and the Principal is always great to talk to. I know that the school will be starting its 140th year this school year. They continue to increase
... Read more the level of academics allowing all children who graduate to enter into high school more prepared then most new freshman. The school does not have a good location but the security and safety of the school is top notch. A family will become part of a greater family when they come to Zion. The homework loads are right on an average of 10 min. times the grade they are in. It really allows the student to grow individually as well. Read less

As far as Zion it doesnt even have a Science Lab ....Unless you consider a Closet used for old out dated computers a lab. I took my children out of Zion because the teachers are not the same quality as the teachers in the public schools where I live. If your looking for 'Quality' I would recomend elsewhere,

... Read more found to be disrespectful to an adult or a fellow classmate it was handled in a Christian manner just like we handle it at home. Home is where respectfullness and discipline starts. What a child learns at home carries over into their daily lives. Schools and teachers are not to blame. Public schools may help your children to soar academcially because of the extra resources they have, BUT are they grounded by being taught what Zion teaches, ethics and morality? Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
