It is a very good school. Teachers are very good but strict. Religion is taught every morning. Although Lake Forest is an extremely wealthy town so some kids brag. Besides that I really love this school

I am a former student of st mary. I really loved going there. one problem was the uniform they are extremely strict. But most teachers were very nice and wanted you to do well.

I go to St. Mary's and I love it! The school is fairly small, so all the kids get the attention they need. You can also go in for extra help whenever you need to. It is not a Catholic environment even it is named as a Catholic school and scheduled a Bible study every day. There is no feeling of the love. It is very hard for children to built friendships if you are not living in Lake Forest and belong to its narrowed social circle. Teachers are relatively good ...  Read more

Used to be a fairly good school, but there is a distinct 'have vs. have-not' attitude. Spoiled rich kids (and many of their high brow parents)ruin the spirit of catholic education and friendship. Advanced Placement

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.

Before/After School

"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

Gifted and Talented

Vocation/Technical Curriculum

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.

Special Education Classes

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.

Adult Education Classes

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.

English as Second Language

English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
