I love this school! And i hear my daughter talking to her friends on the phone saying she can't wait till school starts. So she can see all her friends. I personally love this school. Most if not all of my precious memories lie within those walls. Gavin South may be poor economically but it is not poor in fun. We have fun but still learn. The quality of the academic programs are impressive, I am very impressed with the high level of parent - teacher communication.I have been very happy with all the Teaching staff through out my childs academic career. ... Read more year there will be no art, music, or gym classes! I feel that these classes are just as important as reading, or math. As a parent the involvement was more evident in the early years (Kinder thru about fourth grade) I feel that there is very little parent involvement in the junior high school. We moved into this district when my daughter was at the school age, because of the outstanding programs, I even attended the Gavin Schools as a child. Read less

My child goes to Gavin and she loves it. She enjoys the classes and teachers. Though this school may not be the biggest or the richest my child loves it because of the closeness of all the students. Advanced Placement
