This school is absolutely phenomenal. There is so much going at the school and it still continues to withold being known for its size. The area never ends with new subdivision and they all proudly advertise D158 schools! that's such an honor. The sports programs are on the come back, the fine arts programs

HHS is a quickly growing high school which has managed to keep the 'growing pains' to a minimum by the passing of referendums and strong community support. The school atmosphere is safe and positive. Teacher commitment is strong. Parent support is ever-increasing. The curriculum is geared towards

This school is small but growing, and I give a lot of credit to the district for approving referendum to help fund the schools and keep class sizes down. I believe the academic programs are above average (not excellent, but for a small town they are good.) The extracurriculars will improve as the school

Our home buying decision was solely based on wanting our Daughter to attend Huntley High School. We certainly made the right decision. I cannot say enough about the entire staff, teachers, couselors and student body of this fine school. This is High School like I remember it-a very long time ago.
... Read more A safe, nurturing environment. I was delighted to find that 'school spirit' and genuine peer support still exists. I witnessed students cheering whole-heartedly for one another whenever I attended any school functions. Classes are relatively small and everyone cares about each other. My Daughter's teachers really went out of their way, including meeting with her on Saturday mornings to tutor her, (so it would not conflict with her work schedule-can you imagine?) Honest, caring teachers that really love to teach-how wonderfully refreshing and inspirational. My Daughter is in college now persuing her own teaching degree. You won't be disappointed. Read less

Guidelines for disciplinary issues are vague in the High School Student Guide Book and often conflict with Illinois School Code. This district is evaluating the procedures for disciplinary actions taken by commissioning a Parent/Teacher Advisory Commission to re-write the policies. The High School administration
... Read more is broken into categories in which one branch handles HR related issues while the other deals with financial issues. A single Vice-Principal is responsible for disciplinary actions and was recently challenged for a impartial ruling. A meeting was scheduled to evaluate the situation which included the Super Intendent, High School Principal, Vice-Principal, Parents of both parties involved and the students. Advanced Placement

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
