I have no idea who the idealist writing some of these comments is, but they haven't seen this school on the inside. We have become desensitized to the constant surveillance, and the platitudes they constantly stuff down our throats. They try to tell us that there is a right way to think with their 'Character
... Read more Counts' program. Very few students actually give a crap about this stuff, and in general, we tune it out. Not to say that their isn't good stuff going on in this school: student-teacher relations are, I have found, excellent. But I have met several teachers, not just students, who have expressed frustration at the general atmosphere present and leadership in this institution-like place of learning. That is not the kind of thing you want, disrupting communication from the teachers to the principal. Major problems going on here. Read less

Nearly every student in H.C.M.S. isn't afraid to ask their teach for help. The teachers also have a way of weaving the information into a fun game. They also use current events as examples which keeps kids informed about whats happening in the world today. When we talk about current events many debates occur. Ninety-nine percent of the time the teachers are splendid with our little arguments about what's happening. This school's amazing! There are many more qualities! Read less

Both of our children have recently graduated from the schools here in Frnakfort. We feel they were provided a great education and offered many opportunities to learn and grow. While some teachers are certainly better at explaining concepts better than others, on the whole it was a very positive experience.

I loved my time at Hickory Creek and feel that it well prepared me for high school. I found that students from Hickory Creek performed better in high school than other students who came from the neighboring communities. I am grateful for the education I was given.

The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Illinois.
