Wonderful students, great teachers. I am very impressed with the academic program at HF. The honors program can match any university; the regular classes are challenging as well. The students should be well prepared to succeed in college.

I am a junior at HF and the teachers are really helpful. If you don't get the material in class, stay after school and they will teach you another way how to

HF is a good learning institution that offers a healthy balance of acaedmics, diversity, sports, and faculty. But it also appears that the school and community is having problems dealing with the difference in changing culture. Sadley some misconstrue culture with saftey which is a unfair observation.

I would consider H-F to be more comparable to a small college than a high school. I truly believe that this High School prepares students for a rigorous University. The quality of the educational curriculum and the teachers are above anything I have seen in comparison to many schools in the Chicagoland

We were so impressed with HF that we purchased our home in the school;s district. We feel our girls are getting a good education, but we can also sense a deterioration taking place, behavior-wise. The students have become less respectful to the rules and demands of HF. However, we keep very good communication

The teachers are very prompt an efficient in answering questions and all grades of quizzes, tests, quarter and semester grades are readily available giving parents immediate feedback to any existent problems. This is a huge plus for HF. Our girls are happy also with the sports. We only hope that the behavior of some erratic students will be handled strictly as far as a dismissal policy. It is a shame to ruin such a well-organized and equipped institution for learning. Our girls receive very good grades. The teachers are excellent. Read less

HF was once a great high school, but has really struggled with student security issues, safety on campus, and dropping test scores. I admire the battle the administration is putting up to save HF, but it is no where near the level of suburban high schools in the west north suburbs.

My son is a Freshman at HF. I have been very impressed by how caring the faculty and administrators are. He is in both Honors and Regular classes and is challenged in all. They have a wonderful Music department and many fine after school activities. I would highly recommend HF to anyone.

HF is better than public high schools in the immediate area, but that does not say much. Compared to the top high schools in DuPage County and the North Shore, HF is not even in the same league (it once was). HF has real security issues that only seem to get worse, and for that reason alone, it is seems

HF was once a great school, but has some real issues now that make the campus unsafe; I would be very cautious about sending my children there these days and many opt for Marian Catholic. Many years ago, HF stood with schools like New Trier, Hinsdale, and Wheaton, but that HF is a distant memory unfortunately.
