EGHS is a great school. Im a freshman, and what goes on in this school is great. But EGHS isn't so perfect. I know that a fight breaks out almost every day, kids are smoking on-campus, and getting past the security is no problem at all. if EGHS really starts to cut down on all the kids that do itiotic

I am a graduate of EGHS and I feel that parents should hear from an 'average' student that attended the school from fall 1999 and graduated in 2003. It is what every high school is you don't do anything you don't get anything out of it but misery. I found clubs to join and was active in the Japanese

The teachers are available for help and if they are not there is always a teacher that teaches the subject and can help. Many do not give this school the credit it deserves. Sure some books need to be bought but that is the districts choice not the high schools. I would gladly send my children to EGHS. Read less

EGHS has the potential to be a good school based on public, not private schooling standards. The faculty are rather distanced from the students, and they are seldom available for help. Fairly intelligent students are outcasted from others in the school. The school is also cutting back on faculty and
... Read more classes, so classrooms tend to be very overcrowded, providing the class that you wanted to take was not cancelled. If anything, the sports programs should receive financial cuts, considering only a handful of EGHS graduates turned pro. Also, the school needs new textbooks, especially in the science courses (as they are very outdated and are not informative.) The website needs some serious help, also. The overall atmosphere is not positive, and the faculty excessively focus on students' mistakes. The PE equipment could also be updated. Overall, EGHS is a decent, not superb school. Consider private schools, if at all possible. Read less
