South Park Elementary School is a wonderful school. It provides an excellent education for our children. It builds a strong foundation and teaches kids what they need to succeed. Please don't be fooled by the name, this school is a very positive enviroment for children. They learn and have fun at the same time. The teachers are wonderful. But, I would have to say that this district needs to improve greatly on its math education. As I graduated here in 1997, my high school

* In 2005-2006 Illinois used the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math and students in grades 4 and 7 in science. The reading and math results are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Illinois. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
