Vanderpoel is definitely an great school. My son was in Kindergarten this year, and was having trouble with the transition from Preschool. His teachers were simply amazing! They didn't just simply give up on him (which happens at a lot of schools unfortunately). They stayed on him and kept him engaged,
... Read more and they eventually brought him along. The change in my son was truly awesome to see. Vanderpoel does a great job with it's kids. They stress education, as well as being productive young men and women. They also exceeded the test scores of Clissold and Sutherlands schools (which tend to get most of the attention in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhoods. Great job Vanderpoel! Keep up the good work! Read more attention, would be the younger age group K- 3rd the teachers in those grades are awesome and bring a lot to the school and students, however I would say more volunteers, additional staff and supplemental materials appear to be warranted secondary to class size and the various academic levels of the population. To summarize, I believe that the school does a pretty good job with what they have, nevertheless it would benefit all involved if more attention was placed upon the younger grades as well. Read less

This is my first year at Vanderpoel. I am enjoying myself greatly. They are teaching me things that my previous school never mentioned. They look out for our education and make sure we understand all of the concepts we study. We also learn how to stay healthy and treat our bodies with care.Vanderpoel

Advanced Placement
