This school has many good things to offer. They have laptops for every child in 6th grade to eigth grade. The teachers are very nice here and they really care about each and every student. But you have to fit in and make friends with the parents the parents run the school events and if you're not in the loop you'll find out after you child finds out :) St. Matthias also has a robotics team who won the regional competition and moved on to state. I love this school!!! I've been at this school since, well forever and i really like it. Sometimes the teachers can be jerks but it's cause they care for you. I enrolled my child here a few years ago and they really do not seem to enjoy it. The principal promised a lot of things that have still not gone through. My child is also having problems switching from a Project Based Learning environment to and high school testing environment.

All of our children have attended St. Matthias. We were especially impressed with the work that Mrs. Reinhard did turning the school around after the 30 year reign of Sister Marcien. Ms. De Sapio is nice, but strict about getting children to school on time! A $5 fee will result if they are overly
... Read more tardy! The technology in the classrooms is first class. Our teachers were invited to speak at the state legislature re: our state of the art technology in the classrooms. The children at the school are very respectful, smart and well-spoken. The staff is warm and accomodating. Fabulous after/before school program. This school recently changed principal this year. It is still trying to find out where and what it wants to do. They say they value parents input yet none of the staff ever says good morning, or are courteous. They have double standards depending on if you have money or just a middle class parent payee.

I have a child in the pre-k program and I am so happy with it. This school is a hidden gem. I can't believe how much my 3 year old has learned this year and how much she loves school. We are so excited to have found such a wonderful school!

Advanced Placement
