This school focuses only on themselves and never on the student faculty. As a graduate, I am pleased to have left that so called "Academy". There is a difference between a Military Academy and a Military Academy ran by CPS. This school drops out students who don't "obey" the regulations. So much for ...  Read more

MMSA is a great school, you won't find another school that staff care more about there students. MMSA have a small number of students but that's just one of the good things about this school. This school actually give students a chance to lead and arrange thing, a lot of people don't think that's not ...  Read more

Unlike many other public high school's with your typical average number of 1,000 students or less, Marine Math and Science Academy is a far more different structured high school that acknowledges a different way in teaching. I'm a freshman at MMSA, and not only just focusing on the discipline format, ...  Read more

Parents need research the school before sending their son/daughter to the school. Parents need to get involve and be apart ...  Read more

My daughter is a 2nd year cadet and I'm not impressed. The CPS leadership is non existent!! There is no accountability for the level of education the cadets are to receive. The Marine Corp component is very good, but if you want a college prep program, MMA isn't it. It's easy to out perform Crane, but ...  Read more

I think this is a good school iam a freshmen and i think that the education is better than something you will get at crane and the teachers do care about you. I think that this school is far more better than your regular neighborhood schools.

I am a parent and my son has been in this school for three years. I don't think this school is interested in education as much as they are interested in drafting new recruits to the military. They focus on military more so than education which is not the main purpose of school... It is suppose to be ...  Read more

Compared to the local area school, this place is the Harvard of schools. People can complain all they want, but now is when the selective school campaign is coming in and I can already see the difference. My freshman son is far better off than his cousin who goes to Crane. You send a kid here, they start ...  Read more

I was disappointed by the school overall my son's freshman year. The lack of leadership made it difficult for the school and students to flourish. The curriculum was not what was promised when I enrolled my son. I enrolled him in a selective enrollment school in hopes that he would get a headstart on ...  Read more
