This was a wonderful school when my child began, but, this year the school is not what it use to be. Because of the December fire, the children are not learning at the capacity that they once were. The school needs a new location and a fresh start.

The schools daily historical account from current events to past events provided my daughter a solid foundational support in which dreams evolve to fruition. I was the acting teacher of the 5th/6th grade classroom at Loop Laboratory School. Their curriculum, grades, report cards, and lesson plans could not be found when I started. Most of the textbook/workbook materials (Reading/Math/Social Studies/Spelling/Science/Grammar/Writing) have been locked in

A severe lack of extracurricular activities and disciplinary action has led to very disrespectful, sometimes vulgar and often inappropriate behavior in the older students, which has affcted the younger students negatively but the parents have been kept in the dark. Parent involvement is minimal. I began in February, 2005 and left the school in May, 2005 after enduring months of false responses, disappointing promises, lack of a stable administrative and disciplinary structure, and the SECOND destruction of my room and personal belongings without any discliplinary action from the administration. I would not recommend this school. Read less

I would not recommend enrolling anyone at this school at this particular time. I have two children attending this school grades 3rd and 6th. The 3rd grade has shown a big improvement in academics since they now have a new teacher. However, the 5th and 6th grade class is very low on academics as far

The school use to be excellent. However, it is a shame to see how the communication process is near zero between the administration and the parents. Parents are kept in the dark about nearly every change that has occurred in the past 5 months. Unfortunatley, it seems that parents are left to figure

When asked, the administration tends to give vague responses, which are very little help to the parents. The preschool teachers are wonderful, but beyond that, it seems that children would do much better in a larger school setting. In addition, during the summer, the children sit idle for the the majority of the day, and are supervised only by teenagers. Put simply, I would not recommend this school to any other parent.
