My son and daughter attended the preK at Hamilton and each had a wonderful experience. The preK teacher and her helpers did a great job at engaging and challenging each child and at his or her individual level. My son was in kindergarten last year, and we couldn't have been happier with his kindergarten

Hamilton has an active parent group and an active Local School Council. The parent group raised money to start an after-school Spanish program and an after-school sports program last year. I was encouraged by their programming-Being in Montessori, I was afraid my daughter would be academically advanced and 'bored' with the curriculm- but it turns out that they cater to each child, pairing them up with advanced students and or classroom to make sure they are learning at their level. They just hired a new Principal & Asst. Prinicipal with strong math & science backgrounds- which greatly compliments the schools focus on the arts. (how many schools have this any more!) Great school. for our children for the last 4 years. Love the afterschool Spanish program and the new gym teacher. Can't wait for the afterschool sports to start in the winter. This is our second year at Hamilton. We love the PreK and the overall atmosphere of the school. We've been impressed by the teachers we've met in the higher grades, and the school's scores are outstanding (if that kind of thing matters to you). ... Read more all the time - I see her everyday at drop-off and pickup - and she is always happy to talk. She knows all the kids and I've seen her several times visiting the P to get involved in the learning. The arts programs are great - my PreK daughter has an art teacher, music teacher, gym teacher, and goes to multicultural studies. She learned the merengue from a professional dance instructor! The parent group is also really involved and dedicated to improving the school at all grade levels. We also like that the school is not overcrowded. Read less

Advanced Placement

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
