I am sad to say that this is not the Earhart that was once one of the top 50 schools in the city. There are some great teachers there,but an ineffective principal. The discipline is not the same, classrooms are overcrowded and the test scores have already begun to decline.I am afraid that I will have

am a proud parent of Amelia Earhart; my son is a 2008 kindergarten student. I have high expectations for him and his kindergarten teacher has been great with preparing him to be an above average student. I wouldn't recommend any other teacher then her, she has set the foundation for a bright educational

I think earhart is only concerned about test scores when they really should be focusing on teaching these children and hoping they learn it and not teach one thing one day and on another subject another day. they should make shure these students are grsping what's being taught. There need to be recess.

I recently attended the back to school parent night and I am proud to say that Dr. Williams has not lowered the standards she has increased them! We learned that the test scores did not decrease last year after Principal Walsh retired (a hugh concern with parents). Dr. Williams has raised the requirement

Read more for the Beta Club, placed top performers in accelerated programs to increase the % of students who exceed ISAT standards, in response to parent requests doubled the time spent in physical education and has tremendous plans to continue Earhart's tradition of educational excellence. Personalities are different and Dr. Williams has a different style from Ms. Walsh but the commitment to academic excellence, the community and our children appear to be the same! I am a parent of 3 student that attend the school and up untill last year i was very satisfied with the school,but since Dr. Williams has taken over i believe she has lowered the standards of the school. This year i will be looking for a new school for my children to attend.Mrs. Walsh is missed greatly.

I am blown away by the teachers commitment to these students here at Earhart. The discipline is very effective and the parent involvement is extraordinary. I am very pleased with Earhart's eduactional requirements and discipline procedures. My nephew graduated from this school this year, and is now attending an excellent high school. My son is attending kindergaten here, and I am very pleased with the teachers and his accomplishments thus far.
