My child is only in kindergarten this year, but he has already learned so much. I don't feel like he was challenged enough at his other school. The end of the first quarter is very close and he has already learned to read and spell several words, letters, numbers, etc. I am so impressed, so far, with

UP has been a great school for my child for the last six years. It's the best of both worlds, a large school with a diverse student population, resources & extracurriculars to go along with its size, a community of caring, intelligent teachers & staff that usually goes with small schools. For my part,

These kids were sometimes viewed with relief as 'easy' kids who wouldn't take up much of the teacher's time. Although they weren't unique in failing to challenge the kids, I expected more. However, parental commitment to the school is phenomenal. This is a safe, loving school for kids to grow up in. A testimonial is that graduates from UP easily & successfully transition to high school. Read less

The Unity Point School is probably a top elementary/middle school locally. But it would be better if (1) older kids can have a choice to get a little more food for lunch (currently, all the students, from K to 8th graders, have the same amount of food for lunch. This is beyond my understanding), (2)

I have two kids at Unity Point School. Overall, I think the school is good. They pride themselves on high test scores and acheivement. I had heard many good things about the school when we moved into the district. I am a little disappointed in my experience with the teachers. I believe that there

As a parent of a first grader I was shocked that the skill they are asked to know and the amount of homework and studies required for a 6-year-old. I feel that they are pushing the kids too hard so they look good and in the end many students, about 1/2 in my son's class are being neglected. Read less
