... Read more school pride is contagious. The faculty -- at least when I was there -- was amazing. When I look back, the kids/young adults were not 'fake' nice, but genuinely humble; most kids came from blue collared families so they treated the school as a second family. I just wish the academics offered more AP classes and vocational tracks for those that weren't going to college. The school maybe small, and not as flashy as Rita, Rice, or Carmel but it's the hidden gem -- they guy next door that you shouldn't underestimate. Read less

Our third child is about to graduate from St. Laurence. 14 years ago when we went to an open house at St. Laurence, we really loved it. Just to compare, we went to visit other schools in the area, but we did not have the warm, welcoming feeling as we did in this school. Our third boy is graduating

We really appreciate the respect the children demonstrate when you visit the school for any reason (pay tuition...), the students treat you with respect, open the doors, guide you to the area you need to go(you don't find this welcoming everywhere.) After 14 years, we are still impressed with the great manners children demonstrates 'They sure become the greatest leaders we would like to see everywhere' Great Academics and extra-curriculum activities. This is probably one of the greatest schools in the area. The teachers go above and beyond the normal call of duty. The atmosphere is awesome and everyone knows everyone else; you are treated as a second family. Don't let this school be pushed aside, you will not regret the time spent here and the lessons

St. Laurence was nothing short of a spectacular experience during my four years of attendance. I wanted to attend every day because if I didn't it always seemed like I missed something. The faculty is extremely dedicated to turning boys into men. Teachers at St. Laurence are looked at like legends.

Social development as well as academics helped me become successful in my life and others as well. I would really like to question the parents who believe the discipline is over the top, because why else would you be paying tuition for a place that does not discipline its students. And discipline is what makes these men think about there decisions in the future after they graduate. Read less

As an alum and a public high school teacher/dean I can't say enough about this place. I truly believe I learned not only academics but life skills that I utilize every day while at 'The Vikingdome' Much of what was taught during college I already had exposure to and a foundation for while others students

My son is in his 3rd year at Laurence, now a Junior, and he would never want to go anywhere else. It's a school that helps boys and keeps there minds on their futures. They are a wonderful school that cares about their students, by making them all feel equally intelligent and they worry about their futures

St. Laurence is an institution dedicated to molding young men into community leaders. The staff's commitment to the student body is a reason it ranks as one of the mosted respected schools in the area. The level of educators at this school is really amazing.

This school is not the best high school around. It is too strict on its policies and teachers and facutly give out way to many detentions for actions that don't even regard them. The Dean of Students needs to loosen up and not have the students life after school suffer because of what happens in school.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
