i believe Kerr Middle is an average school in the fact that they do indeed offer after school programs but they were not always there. When i attended KMS from 2007-2008 we didn't have the programs students now are recieving. I complained to our principal Mr. Gmazel about the lack of technology and other

The administration, staff and the school are terrific. My daughter happily attends school every day. She enjoys her classes and teachers. She is in the seventh grade gifted class and seems challenged by the teachers and her standardized test scores were outstanding. To me that means she is being taught

The school offers many programs after school theater, choir, bowling, volleyball, basketball, student council, chess club, intramurals are a few I can think of. It takes a village to raise a child so if your child is not succeeding at the school it may not be because of the school. Parents could be more involved with the school & encourage their children to be involved at school. Administration could do better by sending newsletters or information home about what is going on at school. As for the school and programs, thought they are great! Read less

My daughter is a student at Kerr and loves it. She participates in the gifted program there and has found it to be challenging and rewarding. When I've visited the school it has been clean and orderly and this last year there has been an emphasis on improving the exterior of the building. I'm certain there are opportunities for improvement, but when I tell parents from other communities about our daughter's experience they are generally surprised at how willing the school is to assist us in contrast to their experience at that their children's school. I am very disappointed in the lack of teacher involvement with the parents. I believe if the school initiated more parent awareness it would allow students to be more successful.
