The school had issues a year or so ago like all schools do. The new principal has turned everything around and can be applauded for his hard work and friendly approach to what has been a difficult task. My three children have excelled and my oldest is now on the distinguished honor roll at Marmion

A new year, a new principal, and some new teachers. This is a very solid educational environment that has the added benefit of being a wholly orthodox Catholic school. Here the truth of the Catholic Faith is not watered down. The job of a school is to equip children to succeed in life. A Catholic

My children are getting a great education from loving, dedicated teachers, and they're getting it in an environment that reinforces the faith we try to impart to them. We have had our children there since preschool (now going on 6 yrs) and have seen many changes, good and bad. My son has ADHD and often the experience isn't there in dealing with such learning problems. New teachers coming in tend to need the school year to 'get accustomed' to the cirruculum and atmosphere

Being told 'I'm not sure' or 'I don't what to do to help your child' does not make me feel secure in my decision to keep them there. I too would like to have backgrounds on teachers and would definitely like to be in the know regarding the reasons behind constant staff changes, as it is our personal dollars paying for our childrens' educations. If such issues were addressed with parents, then there would not be 'rumor mills' for which we parents get reprimanded. Read less

Academically, the school doesn't offer enough to stimulate the learning environment. And I don't see open door policy in the school. The school probably has that policy but not really encourage the parents to use it. And as a parent, I never got a complete professional background of every teacher

The quality of the teachers is very high, and students here will achieve a lot. There are strong sports and extracurricular programs, and the parent involvement is the highest, by far, that I have ever seen at a school.

... Read more our daugther has done extremely well at H/A. Her IOWAs are off the charts and our academic expectations for her are above what we thought they would be! She has many friends, loves the school, loves the teachers and the fact that she gets a good, solid Catholic education along with it for us is all icing on the cake. We couldn't be happier! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
