The kindness and fairness was NOT there, although the other specialty teachers were exceptional and appreciated, I did not have any other choice of core subjects teacher. The celebrations

Our daughter recently started at Malamalama and we could not be more pleased with the education that she is getting. It is a beautiful environement for her - both physically and emotionally harmonious for the childhood wonder years. The teaching curriculum is first rate and the overall Waldorf philosophy

My 3 sons are past students of Malamalama Waldorf School. They all received a strong fundamental basis for their post elementary education. The eldest is a PhD (physics) candidate at UO; the second is soon to receive his BA in Business (all on his own dime); the third is a 4.0 high school studenet

We are new to Waldorf education. Our first exposure to it's beauty was at Kona Pacific. When we came to the MWcampus, the intimate atmosphere and beautiful grounds were what we were looking for. Teachers and parents made our search complete. Next our decision was to also bring our middle schooler
... Read more here from the west side of the island. We are very happy that we did, he loves it. All of his class mates in the 7/8 are great students and caring individuals. It isn't too much to ask for a middleschooler to be kind, respectful, &thoughtful. We found a good match, and my son's creativity has soared. I wished we'd started him sooner. At least his younger sister will have the opportunity to grow from this fantastic teaching. Read less

malamalama school is a disfuntional instution. I am a former parent and have done volenteer work at this school.The administration , board of directors, and teachers have shown a lack of respect for the concerns of the parents.parents concerns have been met with vindictiveness, arrogance, and lies. many

I no longer have any children at this school and would not under any circumstances advise anyone to send their child to this school.This is a small school with a drastically declining enrollment. the numbers don't lie. Malamalama Waldorf School is wonderful. My son is in high school now doing great and we credit his years at Malamalama. The academic structure combined with numerous specialty classes really prepared him for the challenges of public high school. He is well rounded and accomplished. Well done Malamalama!!

The administration at malamalama is in complete shambles. The best teachers have retire from the school because of pressure to leave. I feel sadness posting this because there are deserving individuals at Malamalama and I believe in Waldorf, but this school is unfit to nurse the bright minds of our

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
